RhymeZone rhyming dictionary and thesaurus

RhymeZone rhyming dictionary and thesaurus

A fun resource for finding rhyming words. It would make an interesting vocabulary lesson.

The student must compose a poem that illustrates they understand their word using at least 5 words (or whatever number) that rhyme with it. Maybe they get extra credit for each word over the intial goal number.
Something like the following for the word abuse-

The detective followed the clues
He photographed the bruise
and logged the empty bottles of booze.
He matched the prints of the shoes,
interviewed the victim of the abuse.
The capture made the 5 o’clock news.
Who had expected a moose?

The Raven- Audio Recording

raven_poe_64kb.mp3 (audio/mpeg Object)

A reading of The Raven by a man with an English accent.  Pretty good and free.
